Homemade Devil Eggs


This a true and tried recipe !! I've made this Devil Eggs several times for different functions and they all request it over and over. Perfect for a summer picnic or cook out !!


- 1/2 cup of sour cream

- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise

- 14 of hard-cooked eggs

- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice

- 1 to 1/2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard

- 2 tablespoons of fresh chives, chopped (You can use scallion (green onion) tops if desired)

- 1/3 cup of crumbled cooked bacon

- 1/4 cup of finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 1 ounce)


1. Make sure to slice eggs in half lengthwise, then remove yolks to a medium bowl.

2. Next reserve 24 white halves; finely chop remaining 4 white halves.

3. Mash yolks with the fork then immediately add mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, and pepper and mix well.

4. Once done, add chopped egg whites, bacon, cheese, and chives and mix well.

5. Finally, please spoon 1 heaping tablespoon yolk mix.
