Homemade turtle candy with pecans recipe

To depict a turtle can be surprisingly simple, for this you need to take a nut, it will have paws and raise the shell from above the caramel. This dessert does not need to be prepared from scratch, all the ingredients are already on sale, all you have to do is collect the turtle nuts, caramel and chocolate. Show your imagination to bomb the turtles were ribbed and can see a pattern on them. Perhaps before applying the glaze, you can sprinkle the shells with confectionery crumbs to make the shell look like a star turtle. Or maybe cover it with burnt sugar to simulate a shiny shell.

* Ingredients :

° 350g soft caramel pastry (home or purchased)

° 170g walnuts or pecans (roasted halves)

° 225 gr semisweet chocolate (chocolate is also suitable as chips)

* Preparing the recipe:

 Prepare a baking sheet with foil or parchment and spray it with a non-stick cooking spray.

Lay the nuts in piles of 4 pieces so that everyone looks different sides (imitation of turtle's paws). You can also just put them in small piles on a baking sheet.

If your dessert has casings, take them out and place your caramel in a microwave-safe bowl. If the dessert is too hard add a tablespoon of water to make the mass even softer. Melting in microwave, stir every 31 sec .

Let the caramel cool down a little so that it is not too hot. Add a teaspoon for dessert or a regular spoon of caramel a little per handful of nuts. This dessert shouldn't be fanciful so don't worry if the nuts somewhere lightly stick to them and the "turtle" won't turn out.

Melt the chocolate chips using the microwave or on a water bath. Pour a layer of caramel with melted chocolate, let it drain a little on the sides and move the dessert to it. The caramel was completely covered.

Place the baking tray with 24 candies in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate and caramel are well frozen. For better taste and texture, serve desserts at room temperature. Leftover canister Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or in a cool place. Indoors up to 2 weeks.
