Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie 😍


Coconut Cream Pie, a great-tasting pie, tastes better and more delicious than pineapple pie alone, adds a rich coconut flavor. It is preferable to freeze this pie for two hours before serving.


* Ingredients


° Pre-baked pie dough

° Coconut cream filling

° A cup of whole milk

° A cup and a half of coconut milk

° 4 large egg yolks

° Two thirds of a cup of sugar

° A quarter cup of starch

° Pinch of salt

° 2 tablespoons chopped cold butter

° Vanilla

° Icing cream

° A cup of cream whipping a tablespoon of powdered sugar

° Vanilla

° Roasted coconut for garnish


* How to prepare


We put ¾ cup of milk and coconut milk in a pot on the stove and then leave it until it starts to boil.


Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks with a quarter cup of the remaining milk and vanilla, mix the sugar and starch, then add them to the egg and milk mixture and stir well.


We start adding the boiled milk gently to the egg mixture with the whisk, filter the mixture and put it in a bowl on a low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Remove the cream from the heat, then put two tablespoons of butter and stir well until the butter disappears, then add a cup of toasted coconut and stir.


Pour the cream over the pie dough, cover and place in the fridge for a few hours.


Prepare the whipping cream by adding sugar and vanilla and whipping the cream until it becomes thick. Place the whipping cream over the cream filling, decorate with toasted coconut, cool, then cut and serve.
