Mom’s Goulash recipe



Who doesn't remember mom's famous goulash ?




° 2 lbs grouund beef

° 3 tbsp. minced garlic

° 1 large yellow onion, diced

° 2 1/2 cups water

° 1/2 cup beef broth

° 1/3 cup olive oil

° 2 cans (15 ounces) tomato sauce

° 2 15-ounce cans tomatoes

° 1 C. Italian seasoning

° 1 C. Adobo seasoning

° 3 bay leaves

° 1 C. seasoned salt

° 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

° 2 cups elbow macaroni, no cooked

° 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

° 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese




In a large skillet, brown your minced meat in a frying pan

medium-high heat until HALF is done, remove from heat.

Add the garlic, onions, olive oil and until the meat is

completely cooked.

Add the water and the broth, the tomato sauce, the diced tomatoes,

Italian seasoning, bay leaves and seasoning

seasoned with salt, pepper and adobo. Mix well.

Lower the heat and cover - cook for about 20 minutes, stirring

from time to time.

Add the uncooked elbow macaroni to the pan, mix well

until everything is mixed up

Cover again and simmer for about 30 minutes

Once cooked, remove the bay leaves

Add only the cheddar and mix until combined.


Add the mozzarella just before serving
